"Sublime Views" and "Plato's Dichotomy" Lithographs

Two more lithographs from North Dakota artist, Ryan Stander.

The first, titled "Sublime Views" makes reference via the map to the Hudson River School of painters and their uniquely American religious outlook upon the landscape. Over this partial map are the definitions of pantheism and panentheism to suggest their religious views merged into the landscape. This print is 7.5 x 15.75 and is numbered at 3 of 4.
Bid for this item stands at $50.00

This second print, "Plato's Dichotomy" suggests the Plato's philosophical lineage upon Western thought. By using a landscape divided in half between earth and sky it becomes a symbol of Plato's ideas of division between matter and spirit, body and soul, light and dark. This image is printed in a light greenish grey, measures 7.5 x 7.75, and is numbered 8 of 10.

Both are printed on Rives BFK paper and come unmatted and unframed.
